PUPILS at Llantwit Major School are hard at work rehearsing for their upcoming production of Oliver!
Oliver! – Lionel Bart’s ever-popular musical based on Dickens’ Oliver Twist, features many songs that have become standards, including: ‘As long as he needs me’; ‘Food, Glorious Food’; ‘Reviewing the Situation’ and ‘Consider Yourself’.
Miss Hayley Toms, director of expressive arts, said: “The show involves over 80 pupils, on stage and behind the scenes, demonstrating the talents from both the music and drama department who have worked to bring this show together and now it’s ready. Llantwit Major School enter the Glamorgan Drama League annually and have an extensive trophy cabinet to show for it. You will not be disappointed.”
Headteacher Mrs Robins, said: “We look forward to welcoming the community each year to share in celebrating the talents of our learners in what promises to be an excellent night at the theatre”.
