Barry RFC still not safe
CAMBRIAN Welfare closed the gap on Barry with a 43-22 victory over already relegated Rhydyfelin on Saturday and are now just three points adrift of the Bombers with two games left to play.
The issue of which club joins Rhydyfelin in going down from Admiral National League One East Central is still far from settled.
Barry finished the season in eighth place on 36 points from their 18 matches. Cambrian, ninth, now have 33 points from 16 fixtures. Cambrian, who picked up five points from their home victory over Rhydyfelin, travel to Penarth, currently fourth, on Saturday, and second-placed Caerphilly the following week to complete their season.
Cymru Caerdydd will be promoted from Division Two next season, with Wattstown likely to join them. The two meet on 25th April in what may prove a title decider. The issue of relegation from Championship East may not be finally settled until mid-May. Ynysddu are certain to go down, but there are five other teams bidding to avoid the second relegation spot.
