Tai Chi class supports cancer charity

Delighted to wear orange - the colour of the charity.

A DEDICATED Tai Chi teacher in Barry, Aly Wiltshire, was thrilled recently when her students raised £500 for a charity close to her heart.

The students donated 68 raffle prizes and when the draw was completed, Aly was thrilled. She said: “Maggie’s is a national charity with a centre base at Velindre Cancer Hospital in Cardiff. The staff are wonderful and have supported me in so many different ways. My personal coping strategies are strongly linked to advice from Maggie’s.”.

Tai Chi students learned of Aly’s husband Gary’s cancer treatment and close monitoring at Velindre. At the pre-Christmas session, her students were delighted to wear orange – the colour of the Maggie’s Charity.
