A FORMER High Sheriff of South Glamorgan, Rosaleen Moriarty-Simmonds OBE, will stage an Exhibition of Portraiture in Cardiff in January.
Rosaleen is a Mouth Painting Artist, and a member of the world-renowned Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Association. She is also a businesswoman and equality campaigner and has spent over three years working on 11 portraits, including His Royal Highness Prince William The Prince of Wales, Dame Sian Phillips and Russell T Davies, along with a host of other famous faces.

The theme of the portraits is definitely Wales, or people with a link to Wales, and the exhibition will run over four days from 10th to 13th January at Clarendon Fine Art Gallery, Cardiff. Donations received, and net proceeds raised from the sale of prints, will support the work of NSPCC Cymru in their quest to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Rosaleen said: “The project is the culmination of over three years of hard, but enjoyable work, painting a range of personalities, all of whom have kindly allowed me to paint their portrait. The NSPCC Cymru (Cardiff Central) was the charity I chose to support in my Shrieval year, and I am delighted that the Clarendon Fine Art Gallery in Cardiff has agreed to stage the exhibition for such a worthy cause.”
Hannah Pitt, NSPCC Cymru community fundraising manager, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Rosaleen for choosing to hold this exhibition in aid of NSPCC Cymru.
“Featuring 11 portraits of Welsh celebrities, we know how much work has gone into this project and we are really excited to see it go on display.”
