STAFF at Asda Barry recently hosted a spectacular BAFTA-style awards evening.
The event celebrated the hard work and dedication of colleagues and also raised an impressive £1185.85 for the ‘Tickled Pink’ charity.
As colleagues arrived at the Masonic Rooms, they were greeted by a red carpet, flashing cameras, and enthusiastic applause. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as everyone embraced the theme of the night, ‘Asda Barry’s Star-Studded Awards’.
The awards spanned various categories, from serious acknowledgments to light-hearted. Local businesses, Mint Rooms and Caprinos Pizza generously contributed to the raffle prizes. Lucky winners were rewarded with vouchers.
Graham, the customer service manager, said: “It’s heartwarming to see our colleagues let their hair down, all while raising funds for a cause close to our hearts.”
Charlene, the stores community champion, said: “It’s so lovely to recognise the team’s hard work and was a little different to our usual food drives, and community clean-ups. Thanks to our wonderful colleagues, the night was a huge success”.
