BARRY Athletic lifted the Barry Cup on Sunday at Jenner Park, defeating Cardiff Airport Reserves 2-1 – completing the league and cup double.

Karol Wojciechowski and Morgan Stavert fired Athletic into a 2-0 lead before Kyle Lewis pulled one back for Airport. But it was Athletic who closed out the win. Athletic’s attention now turns to the SWFA promotion play offs on 16th May.
Cogan Coronation Reserves edged closer to the Championship title as they edged out Cardiff Airport Vets 2-1 in the Vale second tier, while Dinas Powys Development remain three points off them with a late 2-1 win over St Athan Reserves.
AFC Rhoose Development picked up an important 2-0 win over Barry Athletic Reserves while Peterston Super Ely thumped Porthkerry Panthers 5-1. Rhoose Social pipped Island Marine Reserves 2-1 and Vale Athletic continued their good form with a 4-2 win over Cowbridge Town.
In League One, Sparta Park’s title celebrations were put on ice as Llantwit Major Thirds held them to a thrilling 4-4 draw. Fresh off their Goodwood Cup victory, Llantwit pegged Sparta back three times to get a point, Sparta can clinch the title this Saturday.
