Health and wellbeing radio station expands
Station is looking for on-air presenters and back office support
THE Rookwood Sound Radio is spreading its wings across the Vale.
The Hospital Radio Station based at the University Hospital Llandough has transformed itself into a Health and Wellbeing radio station, but it can also be heard outside the hospital walls on any DAB+ enabled radio across the Vale and Cardiff (and also online).
As part of this move, Rookwood Sound is looking for extra volunteers to join the station. Stephen Allen, the chief executive, said: “We are looking for on-air presenters, back office support and people with a technical background to join our small team. We will provide training on all aspects of our work and ask anyone who is interested to contact us.”
Rookwood Sound is also celebrating its 37th anniversary this year and is holding a charity anniversary dinner at the Penarth Masonic Hall, Stanwell Road, Penarth, on Saturday, 12th October.
