A 37-YEAR-OLD man from Barry with a long track record of burglary and shoplifting offences has been jailed for 40 weeks after he repeatedly breached a court order banning him from entering Penarth town centre.
Adrian Edros appeared before Cardiff Magistrates’ Court where he admitted breaching the order, and a series of shoplifting offences.

The court was told Edros was made the subject of a criminal behavioural order last December that prohibited him from entering Penarth town centre, but he broke the terms by going there on three occasions during April and May.
Prosecutor James Subbiani told the court that on 16 April, Edros took toiletries worth £50.71 from Pearns Pharmacy on Windsor Road.
Edros returned to the street on 2nd May where he stole steak and chicken costing £61.50 from the Sainsbury’s Local store. Five days later, Edros went back to the same shop where he stole meat worth £42.
The court heard Edros committed the crimes while already subject to a suspended sentence and an existing criminal behaviour order. The magistrates said the offences were “so serious that only a custodial sentence can be justified”.
Edros has a lengthy track record of shoplifting offences over recent years. In December, he appeared at the same court where he was sentenced for six offences of shoplifting and one of common assault.
Three months later, he appeared in court again where he pleaded guilty to a series of shoplifting offences in Penarth and a charge of fraud by false representation after he dishonestly used another man’s bank card in Barry, for which he received a suspended sentence and was ordered to complete a 12-month alcohol treatment requirement, along with 20 rehabilitation activity days. He was also given a further 12-month ban from entering Penarth town centre.
In March 2018, Edros was jailed for 28 months after he stole an irreplaceable ring worth £32,500 and more than £10,000 of electronics from a property in Clinton Road, Penarth, before joining with another criminal to burgle a house in Devon Avenue, Barry, the same day, where electronics were taken.
