Cyclist killed during collision with HGV

South Wales Police (SWP) are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving a cyclist and heavy goods vehicle (HGV).
Officers investigating the incident which occurred shortly after 4.00pm on Tuesday evening (20th December) on Leckwith Road, Cardiff have confirmed that a 65-year-old man died at the scene.
The man was riding a bicycle when a collision with an HGV travelling in the general direction of the city centre took place.
Police have confirmed that the next of kin have been informed and the circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
Leckwith Road was closed for 12 hours following the incident and reopened at approximately 3.00am the following morning.
SWP is appealing to witnesses who have not yet come forward or who may have any dashcam or video footage of the incident to come forward and quote reference 2200424961 by using any of the below methods.
