A TOTAL of four arrests have been made after two knife crime incidents at Barry and Dinas Powys railway stations.
A 15-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a girl was stabbed at Cadoxton railway station.
The attack happened at around 6.20pm on Saturday, 27th January, and the girl was taken to hospital with injuries that British Transport Police said were not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
The 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article in a public place, and perverting the course of justice.
He is due to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on 27th February to submit his plea and for trial preparation.
In the second incident, detectives investigating an alleged serious assault against a 16-year-old boy at Eastbrook railway station, Dinas Powys, on Saturday, 13th January have now made three arrests.
The incident happened at around 4pm when the boy was approached by four men. One of the men produced a knife and attempted to repeatedly attack him. Another member of the group threatened the boy before running away from the scene. The victim required stitches following the incident.
