A 35-YEAR-OLD paedophile from Sully has been handed a jail sentence of nearly four years after he repeatedly breached a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Luke Stanley appeared before Newport Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to breaching the order eight times along with one count of failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements.
The court heard that Stanley hid a Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphone from police officers and illegally opened Snapchat accounts.
Stanley was originally handed the Sexual Harm Prevention Order on 14th December 2023 after he admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity. For that offence, Stanley was jailed for 22 months, suspended for two years, and he was ordered to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.
For his recent breaches of the Sexual Harm Prevention Order, Judge Carl Harrison sentenced Stanley to 47 months in prison.
